Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Inclusion with EU Funding

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteering organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community interaction and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has pledged to support the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the different involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
