Cornuda Social Support Project Combines Local Leadership and Community Action
Cornuda Agreement
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and meeting centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community gathering and solidarity.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting these initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and improving the quality of life of more vulnerable people.
