Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Elderly and Disabled Lives
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the salón of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social integration and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, creating opportunities for encounters and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
