Cornuda Social Support Project Focuses on Elderly and Disabled Inclusion

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives from local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to support the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
