Cornuda Social Support Project Focuses on Elderly and Disabled Inclusion

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most disadvantaged social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

Role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring security and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.

Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the quality of life of the most vulnerable people.
