Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Community Well-Being
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
The project intends to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The Municipal Administration has committed itself to support the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
