Cornuda Social Support Project: Local Authorities and Volunteering Efforts

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most disadvantaged groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project seeks to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Voluntary organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention exemplifies a collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
