Cornuda Social Support Project Highlights Local Partnership and Funding

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event involved representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing oversight services and coordinating the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.

Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable.
