Cornuda Social Support Project Launch Aims to Improve Vulnerable Lives

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by various representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and several volunteer organizations.

The project, which is scheduled to last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents within the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation will be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The municipal administration has reaffirmed its commitment to support the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
