Cornuda Social Support Project Launched with EU Funding in 1996

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the day early June 1996, a convention for signing a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to around one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Additionally, social transportation and institutions, listening centers, and gathering places will be enhanced.
