Cornuda Social Support Project Launches to Aid Vulnerable Groups

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening centers and gathering spaces will be established.
