Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Community and EU Funding
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the day of June 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighbourhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the realization of the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Furthermore, social transportation, services, listening centers, and gathering places will be enhanced.
