On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and community funds.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the weaker groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
