On early June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and funding

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the weaker groups. Social transportation services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
