Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with EU Funding for Vulnerable Groups
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighbourhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need. Social transportation services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
