Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Local Council and Volunteers

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Goals and Funding

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European community funds.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the categories most in need. Additionally, social transportation, institutions, listening centers, and gathering places will be strengthened.
