Cornuda Social Support Project: Local Collaboration for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of elderly residents and people with disabilities within the Municipality. The total allocated budget for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
