Cornuda Social Support Project: Local Initiatives for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event involved representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which is set to last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and to improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
