Cornuda Social Support Project Seeks to Improve Elderly and Disabled Lives

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was signed at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the implementation of a project dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, aims particularly to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funding allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the different involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.

Overall, the agreement exemplifies a collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable populations.
