Cornuda Social Support Project Spotlights Local Civic and Volunteer Efforts
Cornuda Convention
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participating in the event were some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the realization of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Planned Activities and Goals
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social integration and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also fostering opportunities for community meeting and solidarity among citizens.
Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring security services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
