Cornuda Social Support Project Unites Authorities and Volunteers
Cornuda Convention
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project in support of the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteering organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and meeting centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable populations.
