Cornuda Social Welfare Project Aims to Improve Elderly and Disabled Lives
Start of the agreement and participants
On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable individuals.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which lasts two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Activities and expected goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Transportation services, social services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
