Cornuda Supports Vulnerable Groups with New Social Project

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, among them the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

Role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
