Cornuda Supports Vulnerable Residents Through Community-Driven Social Inclusion Project
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most socially vulnerable people.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the more vulnerable categories.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering points will also be enhanced.
