The Province of Brescia has expressed discontent over the increasing number of violations, especially with the arrival of the pleasant season. Despite the entrance gate being closed and clear signs indicating the road’s closure due to a landslide that occurred in December 2023, some cyclists continue to climb over the gates, putting their safety and that of others at risk.
The situation is further complicated by an ordinance from the Municipality of Tremosine that also prohibits navigation and other water activities in the area below. Authorities reiterate that the ban is in place to ensure public safety and that violations can have serious consequences. Meanwhile, geologists are continuously monitoring the stability of the area following recent ground movements related to the consolidation works of the tunnels.
