The project to release 250,000 trout into Lake Garda has been completed in recent days. The trout were bred in the Desenzano fish hatchery on behalf of the Lombardy Region. The hatching and growth operations were carried out by volunteers and ichthyologists from the Brescia Fishermen’s Union. The release in Lake Garda was coordinated by the Provincial Police. The Brescia Fishermen’s Union expressed their gratitude to the police officers, regional officials, and their dedicated volunteers for their professionalism and assistance throughout the process. In addition to the trout, over 30,000 pike were also released into the lake, and the Desenzano hatchery is preparing for the breeding season of tench.
