Desenzano del Garda launches the traveling cinema Kinocaravan

An innovative project is taking shape in Desenzano del Garda, where volunteers from the cultural association Sinergetica and the Desenzano Film Festival have launched a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter to create the Kinocaravan, a mobile cinema. The aim is to bring cinema, particularly auteur short films, to areas lacking equipped movie theaters, using a camper fitted with a projector and audio system. The deadline to contribute to the fundraising campaign is set for November 20, with an initial target of 10,000 euros needed to purchase a used camper. Artistic director Matteo Delai explained that Kinocaravan represents a concrete response to the growing demand for cultural events in unconventional spaces. Requests have already been received from various regions in Italy, and the journey of the mobile cinema will begin in the spring, with stops in squares and towns all the way to Palermo. Each donation comes with personalized rewards, such as the opportunity to sign the camper or appear in the credits of the screenings.
