The exhibition dedicated to Eugene Berman is currently taking place at the Mart in Rovereto, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore contemporary art through the works and archival materials of the artist. In addition to his renowned paintings and the stage designs created for prestigious international theaters, the exhibition also features collaborations with esteemed magazines such as Vogue America and Life, travel notes, photographs, and catalogs. This collection creates a visual diary that intertwines reality with artistic vision, reconnecting the twentieth century to classical and Renaissance traditions. Conceived by Vittorio Sgarbi and Elisabetta Scungio, the curation of the exhibition is entrusted to Ilaria Schiaffini and Peter Benson Miller, assisted by Denis Isaia for the Mart and Sara De Angelis for Forte Sangallo. The exhibition design is the work of architect Emiliano Leoni. Supporting the curators, a study committee composed of critics and art historians has contributed to the creation of the most comprehensive catalog ever published on Berman, published by Silvana Editoriale, which includes essays and texts by various experts in the field.
