A fatal accident occurred in Montichiari this week, resulting in the death of Fatou Ba, a 45-year-old woman and mother of three from Carpenedolo. Following the incident, the Brescia Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation for road homicide, aimed at clarifying the causes and any potential responsibilities surrounding this tragic event. According to initial information, supported by statements from Mayor Marco Togni, the accident was reportedly caused by a reckless overtaking maneuver along the provincial road 236, in a section marked by a double solid line.
The driver of the other vehicle involved, a 56-year-old man from the province of Varese, also sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized in critical condition at the Civile Hospital in Brescia. The Traffic Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the accident to ascertain the exact details that led to the tragic collision.
