Fraudsters Pose as Carabinieri in Garda Region, Warns Police

They pose as Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in Medio e Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines related to the force.

These are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.
