Garda Region Scammers Pose as Police Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

Posing as Carabinieri, scammers contact hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Middle and Upper Garda region, offering subscriptions to the army magazines.

They are not military personnel, but fraudsters who periodically claim to belong to the finance police, the police, firefighters, or the Municipal police.

How to Recognize Scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
