Garda: Traffic Blocked on the Gardesana Due to a Truck. On Monday, May 19, the situation along the Gardesana della Riviera del Parco road became critical due to a truck that obstructed traffic in the tunnels between Gargnano and the Tignale junction. The heavy vehicle, ignoring clearly marked traffic restrictions, became stuck in the tunnel, preventing the passage of other vehicles and causing significant congestion.
The intervention of the Local Police of Gargnano was crucial in resolving the emergency; after several attempts, the officers managed to escort the truck out of the tunnel and redirect it southward, onto the provincial road to Tignale. This incident resulted in considerable delays for drivers in transit, highlighting the importance of adhering to traffic regulations on mountainous roads like the Gardesana, where the size of heavy vehicles can severely compromise traffic flow.
