The 2025 edition of the Garda Trentino Trail is set to celebrate its tenth anniversary with a series of exciting new features. Scheduled from May 16 to 18, the event has already surpassed one thousand registrations, marking a 20% increase compared to the same period last year. This event represents a significant opportunity for enthusiasts of trail running and outdoor sports, showcasing its growing international appeal.

New Races Scheduled

This year, in addition to the traditional competition, the Garda Trentino Castle Run will make its debut, a 12 km race that winds around the Arco Castle. Athletes will navigate a circuit that includes passages through the historic Torre Renghera. This new event further enriches the program of the Garda Trentino Trail, which is already known for its challenging races.

Additionally, a new ultratrail event will be introduced: the Garda Trentino Trail Extra 100, taking place on Friday evening and covering a distance of 100 km with a total elevation gain of approximately 7,000 meters. This race will connect to the route of the longer Garda Trentino Trail Extra, renowned for its 150 km and over 10,000 meters of elevation gain.

Race Schedule

Saturday will feature three main events:

  • Garda Trentino Trail (62 km from Riva del Garda to Arco with an elevation gain of 3,800 meters)
  • Ledro Trail (44 km from Ledro to Arco with an elevation gain of 2,400 meters)
  • Tenno Trail (30 km between Arco and Arco with an elevation gain of 1,600 meters)

These races not only test the athletes’ abilities but also offer breathtaking views of the natural beauty of the area.

Side Events and Expo Area

Alongside the sports competitions, the organization has planned interesting side events, including an Expo area dedicated to the most prestigious outdoor brands. For the tenth anniversary, there will be a special focus on olive oil, a typical product of the Garda Trentino region.

Thanks to the support of local institutions and numerous sponsors involved, the organizers are working to make this edition even more memorable both in terms of competition and cultural engagement.

A Natural Stage

Garda Trentino offers a unique backdrop for outdoor sports lovers, ranging from the Mediterranean climate of the lakeshores to the alpine peaks over two thousand meters high. Participants will thus be able to experience unforgettable moments immersed in the unspoiled nature of the surrounding lakes, such as those of Ledro, Tenno, and Cavedine.
