The search operations for the missing boater in the waters off Gargnano continue relentlessly under the coordination of the Operational Center of the Coast Guard of Lake Garda. The man, identified as Tommaso Zhu Guozheng, a 44-year-old Chinese entrepreneur with business in Toscolano Maderno, has not resurfaced after diving.
Despite adverse weather conditions, the teams involved in Search and Rescue (SAR) activities continue to work intensively. Coast Guard patrol boats, the Financial Guard, and the Fire Department are being deployed. In addition, with the authorization of the General Command and at the request of the Maritime Directorate of Venice, the Submarine Unit of the Coast Guard of San Benedetto has also been mobilized.
Technological support and volunteers are also involved in the search efforts. The Volontari del Garda conducted instrumental searches in depth from the early afternoon until late at night the previous day. These searches will resume shortly to continue exploring the waters in search of the missing entrepreneur.
The SAR operation involves the alternating participation of the various units involved: the Coast Guard, the Financial Guard, and the Fire Department. This system allows for continuous and efficient coverage of the areas affected by the search.
