The Granfondo Colnago, the highlight event of the Colnago Cycling Festival, kicked off this morning in Desenzano. With participants from 19 different countries, the Granfondo has become a significant international gathering.
The event, organized with the support of local associations to ensure the safety of the participants, saw a large turnout of cyclists from Europe, Asia, and America. 34% of the registrations came from abroad.
The Granfondo Colnago takes place after two days of events and activities for all ages in the city center of Desenzano. The expo area also featured the exhibition stands of the “Endless Trophy” of the Giro d’Italia.
The schedule for the day includes the distribution of race numbers from 6:15 to 7:00 at Piazza Malvezzi in Desenzano. At 7:20, there will be greetings from the authorities to the press, followed by the start of the Granfondo and Mediofondo Colnago at 7:30.
The Expo Area will open at 8:00, and the awards ceremony for the Medio and Lungo routes is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
