An important health care redevelopment project has been announced for the Arco Hospital, with a total investment of over 9.7 million euros aimed at enhancing pavilions A and B. This initiative marks a significant step forward, twenty years after the inauguration of the facility, and is funded through the National Complementary Plan (PNC). It aims to replace the originally planned works for the Rovereto hospital, which were found to be impractical due to technical and economic reasons. During the project presentation, attended by local and regional authorities, the importance of ensuring seismic safety and continuity of health services for the residents of Alto Garda and Ledro was emphasized.
The planned interventions include the demolition of pavilion A, which will be replaced by a new structure intended for general hospital services; the seismic improvement of pavilion B, necessary for future renovations; and the reconstruction of pavilion A. The design work is set to begin by the end of May, with construction expected to start in December 2025 and be completed during 2026. The Provincial Health Services Agency has already initiated preparatory activities, including the selection of the appointed designer.
