In the picturesque setting of Riva del Garda, a significant cinematic event is set to animate the local community. On Thursday, May 30th, at 9 pm, the film “Cattiverie a domicilio” will be screened at the cinema hall of the Comunità di valle in via Rosmini 5. Directed by Thea Sharrock and starring acclaimed actors Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley, this film promises an evening of drama and comedy.

Plot:
Set in the tranquil English village of Littlehampton in 1922, the film tells the story of the inhabitants who suddenly start receiving scandalous letters. The protagonist, Rose Gooding, played by Jessie Buckley, is suspected of being the author of the obscene missives. Edith Swan (Olivia Colman), a conservative neighbor, organizes a protest that makes national headlines. The accusations put Rose’s custody of her daughter at risk. However, a group of women led by police officer Gladys Moss (Anjana Vasan) is determined to solve the mystery.

Event Details:
The film festival “Il piacere del cinema,” organized by the Comunità di valle Alto Garda e Ledro in collaboration with neighboring municipalities such as Arco, Drena, Ledro, Nago-Torbole, and Tenno under the artistic direction of the Coordinamento teatrale trentino, presents this interesting screening. Tickets will be available for 7 euros for adults and 5 euros for reduced categories (over 65 years, minors under 14 years, and students up to 25 years old). The box office will open half an hour before the start of the show.

Intermunicipal Participation:
This event is part of a larger intermunicipal film festival aimed at promoting film culture in the Alto Garda and Ledro territories. The initiative represents a unique opportunity for residents of the various involved municipalities to enjoy the magic of cinema without having to travel far from their homes.

So mark your calendars for “Cattiverie a domicilio” and don’t miss the chance to immerse yourself in this intriguing story set in 1920s England.
