An important control operation has led to the closure of the Snai Point in Lonato del Garda, after a minor was caught placing football bets inside the establishment. The incident occurred during a joint inspection by the Administrative and Social Police Division of the Brescia Police Headquarters and the Customs and Monopolies Agency, highlighting serious violations of gambling regulations, particularly concerning minors’ access. The visibly agitated boy attempted to dispose of his betting receipt upon seeing the officers.
Following the inspections, it was revealed that the employee present also lacked the necessary certification to handle situations involving customers potentially affected by gambling addiction. Due to the irregularities found, the betting center has been closed for ten days. Authorities emphasized the importance of continuously monitoring gaming venues to prevent the spread of gambling addiction, a social issue that requires coordinated interventions between public administrations and local associations.
