On Wednesday, July 3rd, the Museo Alto Garda is organizing a special event at Forte Garda on Mount Brione, focused on intercultural dialogue and photography. The initiative, titled “Eyes on the World, the Culture of the Other,” will feature two exceptional guests: journalist and writer Raffaele Crocco and photographer Caterina Borgato, author of the exhibition “Women of Extreme Lands” currently on display at the fort.
During the event, Crocco and Borgato will discuss current topics related to understanding different cultures. The discussion will provide insights into how photography can be a powerful tool for telling stories of diversity and inclusion, allowing participants to gain new perspectives on the surrounding world.
The event will begin at 6:30 pm and admission is free. At the end of the meeting, there will be a social gathering that will allow attendees to further engage in dialogue with the speakers and exchange ideas with each other.
It is important to note that Forte Garda is located in a protected area on Mount Brione and is not accessible by car or other motorized vehicles. To reach the site, one can choose to walk for about 15 minutes starting from Porto San Nicolò along the Path of Peace, which follows the ridge of Mount Brione. Alternatively, it is possible to use a bicycle by following Via Monte Brione from the nearby Via Brione next to the State Police headquarters.
