The summer season doesn’t end in September on the shores of the lake. Lake Garda Beaches from Peschiera del Garda to Torri del Benaco are extending their operations, keeping sunbeds, kiosks, and rental services open through the end of October, weather permitting. Driven by increasingly mild autumns and a tourism flow that now spans more months of the year, many operators on the Veronese coast are fully embracing the extended season.
Peschiera, Lazise, and Bardolino Lead the Way
At the Lido Cappuccini in Peschiera del Garda, the extended season has become the standard. According to owner Maurizio Veneri, October is now treated essentially like September, aligning with the local hotels that remain open to welcome international guests. While services pause during rainy days, lifeguards remain on duty for those seeking a late-season swim when the sun shines.
Slightly further north, Giulietta Beach in Lazise operates without a fixed closing date, continuing operations as long as the weather holds. Similarly, the Lido Mirabello in Bardolino, managed by Massimiliano Pietralunga since April, has confirmed it will remain open until late October, having successfully rented out dozens of sunbeds even during the final days of September.
Reduced Hours and Seasonal Closures
While the trend is growing, the approach varies across different locations. In Peschiera, the dedicated dog beach (Bau Beach) and the shore in the Bergamini area close at the end of September. However, operators note that the demand for autumn lakeside relaxation remains strong, with visitors seeking the quiet atmosphere and crisp air that characterize Lake Garda during the low season.
