Lake Navigation: Saturday, March 8 Free Tickets for Women. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, public transport services on Lake Maggiore, Lake Garda, and Lake Como will offer free tickets to all women using their services on Saturday, March 8. This initiative, promoted by the government agency and announced by its president, Pietro Marrapodi, aims to raise public awareness about the importance of gender equality and the fight against discrimination and violence towards women. Female passengers can request the free ticket at the land ticket offices, valid on all regular services except for the fast boats.
Marrapodi emphasized the company’s commitment to promoting equality through concrete actions, such as the inclusion of female staff in traditionally male-dominated sectors and the establishment of the first Working Group on Equal Opportunities. This group will be responsible for ensuring that women’s voices are heard at the corporate level, thereby contributing to the creation of a more equitable and inclusive work environment.
