Local Initiative Supports Vulnerable Groups with €100K Funding
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteering organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker groups. Additionally, social transport will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote the importance of social inclusion and to improve the quality of life for the people involved, also creating moments of gathering and solidarity among citizens.
