Local Italian Community Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Residents

Start of the agreement and participants
On the end of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting socially vulnerable people.
Several representatives of local political and social forces took part in’ the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and funding
The project, which lasts two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of the’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Activities and expected objectives
Activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
