On Saturday, April 5, 2025, the Vittoriale degli Italiani will host a significant event for local culture, centered around the celebration of the L’Officina del Vittoriale Award. This annual initiative is dedicated to honoring scholars who have distinguished themselves in research and writing, contributing to the Italian cultural heritage.

Event Details

The event will begin at 5:15 PM with the raising of the flag at Piazzetta Dalmata. Following this, a ceremony will take place at the Auditorium, marking the tenth anniversary of GardaMusei. Mauro Carrozza and representatives from associated entities will be present to discuss various cultural projects.

During the event, several significant initiatives will be presented:

  • The Festival del Garda project
  • EDDA, the Digital Encyclopedia of D’Annunzio
  • The cataloging of the Paglieri Library carried out by the Archives of the Vittoriale for the city of Pescara
  • Updates on the TPT – Tutto per Tutti project
  • New acquisitions such as the Cervis-Maroni Fund
  • The donation of the painting “Orbo Veggente” by Giovanni Cerri and the Casagrande – Cais Fund of Pierlasore

The ceremony will culminate with the presentation of the first L’Officina del Vittoriale Award to Maurizio Serra at 6:30 PM.

Recognition for Maurizio Serra

The award will be presented to Ambassador Maurizio Serra, a distinguished author who has successfully brought Italian culture to international contexts. The official motivation, signed by the Board of Directors of the Fondazione Il Vittoriale degli Italiani, emphasizes that “Maurizio Serra has taken Italian culture where no one else has succeeded.” This recognition not only celebrates his literary works but also his connection to Gabriele D’Annunzio and his commitment to the Vittoriale.

Giordano Bruno Guerri, President of the Fondazione Il Vittoriale degli Italiani, states: “Immotus nec iners,” a call to the cultural vitality that characterizes these initiatives.
