Lonato has ordered the closure of the betting center “Punto Snai” on Via Monte Grappa for 10 days, following a joint inspection by the Administrative and Social Police Division of the Brescia Police Headquarters and the Customs and Monopolies Agency. This operation is part of an initiative aimed at preventing and combating illegal gambling, with particular attention to the protection of minors. During the inspection, officers caught a minor attempting to leave the premises quickly after trying to dispose of a betting receipt.
The owner of the center admitted to not having checked the boy’s age upon entry, while an employee was found to lack the mandatory certification required to assist customers affected by gambling addiction. The violations identified were deemed serious, as the law strictly prohibits minors from accessing gambling establishments and imposes specific training requirements for staff. Consequently, the immediate closure of the establishment was ordered in accordance with current regulations.
