In Lonato del Garda, on Monday, May 12, work will begin on the construction of a new roundabout on Via Trivellino, at the intersection with Via Campagna Sotto and the SP668 Lenese. This project, which was announced last year and approved in collaboration between the Municipality and the Province of Brescia, aims to improve local traffic conditions by enhancing safety and streamlining traffic flow. The works had been temporarily suspended to avoid disruptions related to the modernization of the San Zeno tunnel. The closure of Via Campagna Sotto is expected to last until June 13, with access permitted for residents.
The total investment for the project amounts to €750,000, funded by the Lombardy Region, as well as municipal and provincial funds. The completion of the works is anticipated in early October 2025, following the necessary improvements to the underground utilities. This roundabout is part of a broader initiative to enhance traffic conditions, aimed at ensuring smoother mobility in the Garda area, which is particularly crucial during peak tourist seasons.
