Lonato del Garda Hosts Conference on Sports and Research to Combat ALS

Lonato hosts a charity and scientific dissemination event on January 14, featuring the “Longevity and Sports: Venice Brussels” conference aimed at raising awareness and funds for ALS research. Organized by Lions Club Lonato del Garda, the event highlights the “Venezia Bruxelles for SLA” project, which involved a trans-European athletic challenge starting from Venice to engage with European institutions and support the NeMO Clinical Center.

The initiative centers on ultrarunner Fabrizio Amicabile, who traversed approximately 1,200 kilometers across Italy, Switzerland, France, and Belgium. During the event, Amicabile will share his experiences, while organizers will discuss the project’s institutional dialogue and future steps for ALS support, including logistical coordination by Lions District 108ib2 and technical preparation by GS Loft.
