Manerba Hosts Constitution Day Ceremony for Newly Minted 18-Year-Olds on Republic Day

Manerba del Garda marked Festa della Repubblica on June 2 with a ceremony for new eighteen-year-olds to celebrate 80 years of the Italian Republic, promote voting rights, and boost youth participation. Deputy Mayor Luca Beltrami opened the event, underscoring civic rights and duties, as the municipality handed a copy of the Constitution to each young attendee.

Participants included Assessor Laura Mattia; lawyer Valeria Cominotti (Vice President of the Brescia Bar Association) who outlined constitutional history and women’s participation; Marshal Francesco Santonicola who urged civic responsibility and dialogue with institutions; and Stefano Bertelli, President of the Youth Council, who encouraged involvement in local activities. The ceremony concluded with the official distribution of the Constitution to the youths.
