Marzia Roversi Opens Solo Exhibition at Quingentole’s Palazzo Vescovile

Marzia Roversi’s solo exhibition opens on Saturday, 5 September at 5:30 pm at the Palazzo Vescovile in Quingentole (Piazza Italia 24) and will run through 5 October on weekends. The show, held with the patronage of the Quingentole municipality, features works inspired by the world of fairy tales, populated by female figures and animals.

Roversi creates large collage pieces on wooden boards, then uses graphite to build a three-dimensional reading of the images. Some works also include acrylic and gold leaf to define the background, resulting in suspended, mysterious scenes where young women appear as figures outside of time. The artworks vary in gaze—wide and intense or half-closed and turned inward—and include animals such as finches and felines portrayed in harmonious relationships.

The Quingentole exhibition follows a display staged from 28 August to 3 September at the Sala Domus in Salò, in Piazza Duomo, where works by Alessandra Garzetti were also presented. Garzetti’s practice focuses on figures suggested through a light weave, while Roversi’s research centers on the delicacy of the images and the handcrafted construction of the collages. The artist is also present in Mirandola at Emporio Amolà, Via Curtatone 20, which showcases art books with her illustrations, decorated objects, and other works.
