A serious crime has shaken Lonato, where a 43-year-old woman, Dolores Dori, was shot dead with three gunshots amid a feud between Sinti families. The incident occurred in a caravan on Via Ferrarini, where the victim was with her daughter’s potential father-in-law, who had expressed opposition to an arranged marriage. Tensions were palpable, and during a confrontation between the two factions, the shots were fired that fatally wounded Dolores. She was rushed to the emergency room in Desenzano, but despite the doctors’ efforts, she died during surgery. Investigations conducted by the carabinieri of the Brescia Investigative Unit are already well underway. The authorities are searching for the main suspect, the father of the young man Dolores wished to marry. The vehicle used to reach the crime scene has also been found, bearing a false license plate registered in the municipality of Mira. Additionally, a threatening video was posted on social media 24 hours before the murder, showing weapons and intimidating phrases directed at rivals in the family feud. Law enforcement continues to monitor the situation while the encampment remains deserted and under surveillance. Italian Version
